International lyceum Kazakhstan-Turkey (MLKT)
The International Lyceum of Kazakhstan-Turkey (MLKT) was officially established on April 15-16 of the 2015-2016 academic year. The institution, founded after the Turkish "riots of July 15, 2015", had two main objectives: firstly, to meet the educational needs of the Turkish lobby in the field of secondary education in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and secondly, to develop educational, cultural, and scientific relations between the friendly and fraternal country of Turkey and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Cultural Foundation of Central Asia, taking into account the request of the government of the Republic of Turkey, decided to open an international lyceum in Almaty, at the address st. Kazybek bi №168. The Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Almaty, Mr. Riza Kaan Yilmaz, and the head of the foundation, Sabri Hizmetli, carried out the procedures for obtaining the necessary permits from the administrative and legal authorities of Kazakhstan and lyceum opening. The International Kazakhstan Lyceum became the first legally established secondary education institution at the international level in independent Kazakhstan. Thus, the International Lyceum of Kazakhstan-Turkey (MLKT) has joined the list of educational institutions founded and owned by the Cultural Foundation of Central Asia.
The International Lyceum Kazakhstan-Turkey (MLKT) was officially opened with the participation of officials of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty city administration, Almaty district administration, Consulate General of Almaty, the Education Department, the National Academy of Kazakhstan, Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Astana, representatives of TÜKIB and MUSIAD, higher educational institutions, business, and professional organizations, non-governmental organizations, the University of Foreign Languages and Business Career, Almaty Kazakh-Turkish Humanitarian-Technological College, University of Turkey, students, and their parents.
The opening ceremony, which began with the performance of the national anthem of Kazakhstan and the national anthem of Turkey, was conducted by Professor Dr. Sabri Hizmetli. After the speeches of guests and officials, the commemoration continued with a concert of university and college students.
To date, MLKT has completed four academic years. Graduates continue their studies at prestigious universities in Kazakhstan, Turkey, and other countries. MLKT offers some unique aspects, accomplishments, and advantages. For example, it is the first legally established "INTERNATIONAL" lyceum in Kazakhstan that provides multilingual education (Kazakh, Russian, Turkish, and English). Moreover, teaching conducted in two foreign languages, English and Turkish, is remarkably high level as educational programs consider individual abilities and academic skills. Overall, faculty priorities in education are quality and qualifications. MLKT cares about youth development, seeing them as the country's future, the hope of society, and family procreation, and strives to become a Kazakhstani and world brand of the future. Consequently, learning in the MLKT is based on the quality of education, assured through the competitive admission of students and selection of the most experienced, educated teachers with a high qualification category.
The International Lyceum Kazakhstan-Turkey (MLKT) in the 2022-2023 academic year will continue educational activities in its 4-storey building. However, some innovations will be introduced: two new educational campuses, modern equipped classrooms, where new instructions and rules will apply, an updated education system, and educated teaching staff strengthened with new qualifications. In the lyceum, students with their parents can choose an educational program in accordance with the instruction language preferences (Kazakh, Russian, English, Turkish).
The International Lyceum Kazakhstan-Turkey (MLKT) accepts students in grades 1-11 for the 2022-2023 academic year. Classes have a maximum of 20 students. COME! APPRECIATE! LEARN! WE ARE WAITING FOR YOU!
