Admission policy to the International Lyceum Kazakhstan-Turkey
EDUCATIONAL PROCESS
The educational process at the International Lyceum Kazakhstan-Turkey (MLKT or Lyceum) is based on the synthesis of state compulsory education standards (GOSO RK) and international programs.
Differentiation of education, taking into account the interests, needs, and abilities of pupils, and the use of various strategies and learning technologies in the educational process create conditions for the disclosure of the creative potential of students, incentives for their personal growth through the development of independent and critical thinking. Admission and registration of students are carried out following the rules of admission to the lyceum.
Admission of students to the MLKT starts on April 01 and ends on August 25 of each academic year. As a rule, the majority of newly enrolled students start classes from the beginning of the 1st quarter. Admission of students to suitable classes during the school year may be subject to availability. The staff of the admission committee and the deputy principal organize the admission process. The final decision on the enrollment of students is made by the principal of the lyceum following the MLKT admission policy.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
For all newly arrived students, the adaptation period is set for 4-6 weeks. During this period, the class teacher, the psychologist of the lyceum, subject teachers, and the administration control the educational achievements of newly arrived students and, if necessary, provide support.
Students who scored 50-59% on the entrance test, after successfully passing the interview with the deputy principal of the lyceum, can enter on a probationary period. Probation cannot exceed three months. At the end of the probation period, the student's progress is analyzed, and a decision is made on his further education in the lyceum.
All members of the lyceum community (students, teachers, parents, technical, and support staff of the lyceum) know and follow the disciplinary policy of the lyceum. Parents of newly arrived students read the disciplinary document with the class teacher at the first parent-teacher meeting or get acquainted with the MLKT's disciplinary policy on their own. Parents have to ensure their children comply with all the rules of the lyceum and do not miss classes without an excuse.
MLKT has the right to suspend a student's education or expel him in case of severe violation of the rules.
Parents are responsible for the child's compliance with the rules of the lyceum. Parents can help by paying attention to discipline and preventing their children from being late for classes. Parents should contact the class teacher or subject teachers to receive information about the child's achievements in the lyceum and emerging problems. If necessary, parents can contact the administration of the lyceum.
When a child enters the lyceum, parents are required to provide a medical card on the child's health (with data on previous and chronic diseases, allergies, food intolerance, etc.) and a vaccination sheet. Parents must inform the lyceum promptly if a child is infected with a contagious disease that can harm the health of other children and lyceum employees. If necessary, the child is given first aid. By the order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a schedule of annual medical examinations and vaccinations is drawn up. The lyceum doctor informs parents on time about upcoming vaccinations and medical examinations.
MLKT ensures the safety of students and the safety of the property of the lyceum around the clock. Surveillance cameras are installed on the buildings of the Lyceum and adjacent territories.
It is ensured that photographs of lyceum students are used only with parental consent. If parents do not want photos of their children or family data to be used at events for educational purposes, they can inform the lyceum about it in writing.
MLKT provides transportation services for children (to and from the lyceum).
